It ’s not often there ’s a fresh product that I ’m truly excited for , but this new verbaliser from Bang & Olufsen is one of my most anticipated launch .
And that ’s because it ’s a sequel to afive - star productI brush up several years ago that won our good wireless talker honor at the meter . count its sizing , it was a greatest performer , so I ’m emotional to see what the Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 Gen 3 can do .
At first blush it look very similar to the Gen 2 model , its circular , sculpted appearance that ’s craft from ivory - blasted atomic number 13 with 2173 precision - milled holes in its open alludes to its sense of luxury and polish . TheIP67 ratingensures that it ’s fully dust- scepter raincoat making it ready to take with you on any out-of-door adventure .

A few new upgrades
Improvements add up in the shape of a bigger woofer that give birth deeper bass ( 2dB more in fact ) than the late modeling . Bang & Olufsen call that the heavy woofer results in a “ rich , elbow room - fill up ” sound . As always , we ’ll be hoping to see that ’s the case once we get out hired hand on it .
stereoscopic photograph pairing is possible across 2nd and 3rd gen models , while battery has been eked out to up to 24 minute , six more hour than its herald .
Bluetooth supportis the more or less older 5.1 variant , but there are a couple of other ways of connect the speaker depending on the source machine you have with Microsoft Swift Pair andGoogle Fast Pairboth supported .

There ’s a three - microphone array inside so the Beosound A1 3rd Gen could be used to take call with , and Bang & Olufsen have built this talker with modular architecture in mind , with a 10 - yr lifetime mooted for its “ first useful lifecycle ” . Its modular designing means you’re able to put back components over time to keep the speaker going for as long as you want .
A speaker that could last forever
And the Bang & Olufsen Beosould A1 3rd Gen is the first modular Bluetooth talker to be rocker to Cradle Certified ( at Bronze level ) , which cetifies that the talker can be serviced , advance and repaired over its lifetime .
Colours include B&O ’s Graeco-Roman Natural Aluminium culture and two new one in Honey Tone and Eucalyptus Green
You ’ll need to fuck the price , of course , and this is perhaps the only disappointing aspect about the Beosound A1 Gen 3 . Compared to its predecessor , the Mary Leontyne Price in the UK has die up by £ 100 to £ 299 , and the same applies to European pricing , which is now € 349 .

I ’d have hoped it was not as much as that , but believe 2024’sbest outdoor speakerin theBose SoundLink Maxwas £ 399 / $ 399 , it ’s not the most expensive outside speaker .
Here ’s hoping it live up to the expectation . We ’ll be looking to give it a trial in the come hebdomad to see if the Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 Gen exist up to its promise .
