Sony has confirmed it plans to interweave AMD ’s latest AI upscaling technical school FSR 4 into games for the PlayStation 5 Pro .
The upscaling technology , which is being debut within the newAMD RX 9070 and RX 9070 XTgraphics cards , was actually co - acquire with Sony . Now Sony plan to use it to promote its own PlayStation Super Spectral Resolution ( PSSR ) technical school within thePS5 Pro .

When reviewing the PS5 Pro , our own Max Parker drop a line : “ If the aspiration was to get rid of those ‘ favour performance ’ or ‘ favour graphics ’ options in games , then the PS5 Pro is a bit of a miss . Those options very much still exist they ’re just slightly different in what they can offer . ”
So in that regard , the PS5 Pro still has something to prove . Perhaps Sony ’s effectuation of FSR 4 can move the console closer to its electric potential where there are no via media for console gamers want frame rate and resolution maxed out .
