In an audience withIGNat Gamescom 2023 , Bethesda ’s headspring of release Pete Hines says he ’s sink almost 160 hours into the plot and ‘ has n’t even number close ’ to completing what the game has to volunteer .
Much of that clock time has been spent taking on all of the epic side quests so synonymous with Bethesda games like Skyrim and Fallout .
“ If I ’m being honest , there ’s really not an amount of time that I ’m well-situated enough [ to say ] , ‘ Now you ’ve played enough to get what this game is , ' ” Hines say in the audience on the show storey . “ I ’m at 150 - 160 hours on my current shimmer through and I have n’t even add up secretive . There is so much stuff that I have designedly not done . ”
Hines dilate during a Bethesda Mainstream conversation , saying he was having so much fun with the factions feature and other side quests for the first 80 hour that he had n’t eve get down the main quest yet .
“ I had a conversation with Todd [ game director Todd Howard ] a match of calendar month ago and I told him I just strike 80 hours and he postulate : ‘ So what did you think of the master pursuit ? ’ and I said : ‘ Oh I have n’t done it . ”
“ 80 hours in , I blend in from playing one game to a wholly different game . I got so caught up in the primary quest I drop the next 50 hours just doing that because I got so wrapped up in the story . ”
Without want to give away any story mollycoddler for that master seeking , Hines add : “ I ’m here to tell you this secret plan does n’t really get proceed until you finish the principal quest . ”
