impression : Another workweek in the world of telecasting and another peep at what ’s come later on in 2025 – this time it was Panasonic ’s stove of 4 thousand OLEDs , Mini light-emitting diode and LCD video .
The event was held at its European HQ in Wiesbaden ( which seems to be a very pleasant town ) , and there I had more of a look at its 4 K OLED , it ’s unexampled Mini LED and it ’s less expensive ambit of model for the more budget conscious .
Do n’t inquire about how much they ’ll cost because that was n’t announced . Do n’t ask about when they ’ll be on the marketplace because that was n’t confirmed .

But more than probable they ’ll come later in summer 2025 forrader , and because of that tardiness , they ’ll be more expensive than their rivals who will have been on the securities industry for a few months .
2025 TVs are a go
It ’s an issue I touch to in my thoughts ahead of the slip , in that 2025 could be amake or break class for the Panasonic TV department . The chatter among Panasonic in high spirits - ups seemed positive , but a dyad day after the event Panasonic announced that they ’ll be cut 10,000 jobs across its globose manpower , and the positiveness and smiles of the eventcouldbe reckon in a slightly different way .
But let ’s stick with the boob tube . At first blush the range seem to have been slimmed down from previous years when it seemed as if Panasonic was plunge an all - out rape on the TV mart with as many models as possible .
For one , there are noGoogle TVmodels this class ; the range split between Amazon ’s Fire telly , TiVo and a video with no smarting in the W30A.

There are new models , of course of instruction , there are good continuation from 2024 – if memory serves , anything that stop in an ‘ A ’ roll over from the previous year while the example ending in ‘ B ’ are brand unexampled . Most models are heading to the UK and the unity that are Europe - specific will get a silver pedestal stand . We do like our silver stands in the UK , Panasonic . Just sayin ’ .
More of the same?
There ’s a conversance about Panasonic ’s 2025 TV line - up , which is a finger that could be steer at every TV manufacturer but I could point more fingers at Panasonic than others in that it – along with Sonyand a twosome of others – are playing catch up with the Korean and Formosan brands . My first impressions are that it all looked upright – assured even – but it did n’t quite blow my socks off .
I believe the one thing that you ca n’t ding Samsung or LG for is that they ’re always trying to innovate each year . When I see a preview of Samsung ’s television in Korea last year , it was really forward - thinking in price of move the viewing experience before . Although I ’m not inevitably onboard with how AI dominates the conversation , some of what Samsung show was telling .
There was less AI chat in the Panasonic display – arguably it was n’t even a focal item of discussion – and while the Panasonic Z95B appear and sound great in its novel form , well thanthe Z95A did , but it palpate as if while the word form had changed it was more of the same . Better , but still familiar .

And while that ‘ same ’ is of a gamy quality – higher than some other TV brands that I sha n’t name – I do wonder whether it is enough to grab the attention of a customer when faced with ten similar - look TVs in a retail store or Amazon and Currys spit TVs out on their homepage and lookup seemingly at random .
Panasonic needs to come out swinging
I still feel that Panasonic need a USP that it can string up its TV division on . The way Samsung talks about QLED , you would have thought they create it ( they did n’t but it is synonymous with them ) and , of line , they sell the most TVs .
Panasonic has ( or had ) its ‘ Hollywood to the Home ’ brandmark a few class back but both LG and Sony have plant their sword lily in that territory , and Panasonic hasslightlycooled its jet plane on that messaging .
There ’s no brand ( not even Samsung ) that pushesMini contribute as much as TCL , while both it , Hisense , and Samsung and playingRock - Em , Sock - Em robotsin the large screen television receiver food market . Where does this leave Panasonic ? In a alike room to Philips , I ’m not certain .
Panasonic , along with Sony , are the master crafter of the television receiver market . They take their meter – arguably a petty too long – and their TVs are n’t always the most affordable – arguably a little too expensive , but the quality is there .
I do n’t cogitate there ’s another TV brand that does depict quality in quite as natural and veritable a way as Panasonic and Sony . I also do n’t imagine anyone else make TVs that sound as good as they do either .
The doubt of the last few years has been whether Panasonic can get enough visibility – and not only that , to wait for those TVs as they ’re bound to follow in after than LG , Samsung , Hisense , TCL and Sony . That is a big queue to be stuck in .
Are Panasonic ’s 2025 TVs ‘ enough ’ to make a mark ? Here ’s skip they are , and if they do come after , I do n’t think it ’ll be down to the quality of the TVs – they ’ve always been good – it ’ll be down to how well it convince consumer that a TV with the Panasonic badge is worth as much if not more than one with a Samsung or Hisense on it .
